Good value £40/nite: quality hotel:
noisy :our room had 1 smashed window which could not be opened : fire alarm went off in early hrs of the sunday mornin: when we arrived we were initially told there were no rooms available despite having booked online
good parking. short distance in to city centre and motorway.
no seating area outside for bar.
The hotel was clean, tidy and the room excellent,it was well situated for my business dealings within the city, the breakfast was ample and the dining room light and airy and although situated at a busy multiple road junction,it was quiet in my room.
I`m a disabled person who depend on crutches or a stick to get about and although there were lifts in the hotel, there was no offer from members of staff to help me carry my bags to my room although I had e-mailed the hotel making them aware of my disablement,my disability is pretty obvious,my room number was 131
lovely hotel, staff very efficient, food excellent, perfect location, away from the city but still close enough. defo reccomend.
I was not impressed with the phone ringing at 6am, and dont know why it did, had alot of trouble with payment first attempt didnt work so had a call asking for a different card so did that were told that the payment had been recieved prior to stay, nothing was said whilst checking in but upon checking out the receptionist asked for futher payment as their was not payment shown on the record i explained about the phonecalls and the lady who dealt with it he acknowleged that she worked their but he'd been off all week so didnt know what had been goin on we ended up having to pay again with the suggestion that once we get home to check with the bank and if payment is taken twice they will refund
Would award 7/10 On site parking.
The desk staff could have been more helpful when asked about local launderette facilities and the restaurant was chaotic but did in fact work quite well.
Clean, quiet hotel that seemed to cater for business functions
buffet breakfast was well below par
The receptionist on duty when we booked in was exceptionally helpful!
The dodgy lift - the circuit breaker needed to be reset frequently by the maintenance staff
blood on the bathroom floor; phone wasn't working (mean no room services...); problem with toilet; no game room (pool...)
The staff were friendly and very helpful.
The pillows were terrible, leading to a bad night's sleep and a stiff neck in the morning. Outside noise, as we were right by the main road and car park was not great. Only source of heating was a small fan heater that smelt when on. No mini bar and very basic/scruffy room.
Legacy cardiff is a nice, clean and cheap hotel.it's really worth for the money.staff were really helpedful.the room service and the house keeping department were excellent.we stayed for 2 days and they looked after us very well.memorable stay at legacy cardiff.thank you very much.
Good location with easy access to Cardiff town cenre and surrounding areas. Helpful staff.
We booked one double and one single bedded rooms but had to accept both as single bedded. This was a let down and will influence any future bookings.
The room was very nice and comfortable the secenry was lovely and it was very relaxing.
It was convenient for our purposes, The accommodaion was adequate and reasonably priced. The reception staff were excellent. We are sure that breakfast service is normally much better.
The breakfast waiter did not explain to us what was included in the continental breakfast and in fact barely spoke at all. The coffee was appalling, so we had a slice of toast and made our own coffee in the room.
I have sent a letter to the Chief Executive of Legacy Hotels, Andy Townsend, giving details of our stay at the Legacy Cardiff Hotel and am awaiting a reply.
Very dark inside reception and restaurant as dark wood everywhere; could be brightened up.
